Vehicle Description One of a Kind Factory Built Custom Show Truck Designated as the 500,000th Ranger Built at the Louisville Assembly Plant The Idea of Building a Custom Truck for Show & Display Was Presented to the Louisville Plant's Body Maintenance Employee Involvement Group in November of 1983 The Design was Submitted & Approved in February of 1984 & Assembly of the Truck Began in March of 1984 A Plant-Wide Contest was Held to Determine an Appropriate Name for the Truck / The Name Team Machine was Selected From Over 100 Entries The Custom Ranger Made It's Debut at the 1984 Kentucky Derby Festival Parade Over the Next Year the Truck was Displayed at Numerous Shows & Dealerships Including the 1985 Chicago Auto Show Later in 1985 a Raffle was Held at the Plant with the Winner Getting to Purchase the Truck It Remained in Louisville Until 2014 When it was Sold a Buyer in Tennessee The Truck Remained in Tennessee Until May of 2021 When it was Purchased by the Current Owner in Virginia 2.
