Open the refrigerator door. Locate the water filter at the up-right corner or at the up-left corner of the refrigerator. Twist the old filter to left about 1/4 turn, then pull the filter down. (Note: during the removal, water may leak out of the old cartridge. Do not be alarmed, this is normal, have a towel ready.) Remove the cap from the top of the new filter. Insert the new filter into the housing, and twist it to right about 1/4 turn. Turn on the main water supply to the refrigerator. Flush water from the dispenser for 3 minutes (about 1-1/2 gallon) to clear the system and prevent sputtering. Press and hold the refrigerator reset button for 3 seconds.
