Vintage Compaq Armada 7710MT Laptop Computer for Parts or Repair This auction is for a Compaq Armada 7710MT Laptop Computer, as pictured. Please read description completely to understand what you're buying, since it's being sold "as is" for parts or repair.Very clean former university property, powers up fine and passes memory check, but untested beyond that because it's missing hard drive and caddy. 150MHz Pentium with MMX, 16MB onboard memory. Floppy drive module is probably bad, as it wouldn't launch a Windows 98 boot disk, although the green floppy light of computer came on, like it was trying to read. Battery seems dead, won't take a charge. Display looks good most of the time, but sometimes shows just vertical lines when powered up after lid is opened. For me it happened about four times out of twenty attempts, but each time it did, normal display was restored by a couple light taps on top of lid, in area shown with pink circle. Great shape physically, except for a hairline spider crack at spot with blue arrow. No power adapter required, powers directly from household 115V, cable included. Photos are of actual item being sold. Fast shipping, quality packed, online trackable. Thanks for looking and for bidding! Items normally ship the next day, two at most, after payment is received. I pack things right, feedback mentions that frequently. All items are insured to full value and trackable online. I return all feedback received, sometimes it takes me a few days, but it will happen. Items are described as accurately as possible and if said to be tested and working, then please be assured that is true. If sold "as is", buyer assumes all risk of any untested problem that may be present, with all sales final. I will NEVER auction something with known issues, without mentioning it in the listing, but I buy lots of equipment and sometimes acquire pieces that I either have no expertise to test, or don't have equipment on hand required to perform testing, so in those situations items are sold "as is". Auctions are always "what you see & read is what you get", so if something is not shown in photos or described in text, such as cables, power cords, software, etc., it's probably not included. I'll be happy to answer questions you may have, just please ask before, not after bidding. Sometimes UPS listed shipping will be substituted with FedEx and vice-versa, depending on your location and fastest transit time available.
