Church Building Maintenance - Part-Time and Full-Time Available
Local Non-Profit Organization seeks a Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday) and a Full-Time (evening shift week-day)

Position
Summary:
This position is responsible for a variety of facility maintenance duties throughout the main building and other areas of the campus. Must be able to work independently and be responsible to secure the building on a nightly basis. Must also perform duties and conduct self in such a way that positively represents the values of the organization.
Position
Responsibilities:
Daily -
o Clean administrative offices including music suite on second level
o Clean classrooms throughout main building
o Vacuum Worship Center carpet
o Responsible for set ups/break down for various church events
o Lock doors each night before leaving; balancing safety and security needs with convenience and requirements of the staff and church community
o Turn on/off lights and other church resources and equipment as appropriate to ensure church properties are safe and prudently utilized
o Properly perform casual labor; lifting, moving heavy items as directed by supervisor, taking care to follow appropriate safety practices
o Positive promote good interpersonal relations by maintaining a professional and friendly attitude
o Interact with and perform special assignments from pastors, assistants, and other staff as needed
Weekly -
o Clean tile floors as needed including tile floor in Worship Center
o Clean CLC floor
o Clean kitchen & mop tile floors in kitchen
o Sweep/mop stairways and halls
o Clean classrooms/offices in houses
o Open classrooms in house for Sunday activities
o Set temperature in houses each Sunday
Occasionally -
o Fulfill work orders
o Perform duties of other maintenance staff in their absence
o Respond to emergency requests as required
o Change signage as needed
o Perform other duties as requested
o Must be flexible with occasional schedule changes for special activities outside the traditional work schedule
o May be required to carry cell phone to respond to requests during the work day and occasionally outside the normal work schedule
Education/Training:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
o Previous custodial and building maintenance experience is preferred
o Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills for use in interacting with visitors to the church, employees and staff, vendors and local business providers
o Must be able to read, understand, and speak English
o Must be knowledgeable in the safe use and operations of special equipment such as hand truck and moving equipment, assorted hand tools, church vehicles, pack sprayer, leaf blower, vacuum, etc.
Background checks and references required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
