Production Scheduler
We been engaged to find an experienced Production Scheduler to be part of a growing and highly profitable, global industrial machinery company. Company is highly motivated to hire a Production Scheduler right away.
The position of Production Scheduler is responsible for planning the work schedule of production departments using work order information and all available inventory.
Primary Production Scheduler responsibilities include:
o Plan, evaluate, prepare, monitor, and maintain a master production schedule
o Establish lead times of each operation
o Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
o Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, insulation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
o Monitor production processes daily in order to maintain a current schedule
o Monitor inventory levels and purchase request to match material needs to future cycles
o Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
o Prepare production reports
o Prepare lists and order required materials, tools, and equipment needed.
o Coordinate new orders with the Sales, Engineering, and Production Departments
The qualified Production Scheduler candidate will have:
o Degree in Production Planning is ideal
o 3-5 years in Production Scheduler role
o Visual Manufacturing Software experience, Infor Visual preferred
o Proficient in Microsoft Office products
o Ability to read and understand shop drawings
o Working knowledge of sheet metal, structural steel, control systems and industrial equipment
o Strong analytical, statistical, planning skills
o Strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make good decisions based on the best interests of the company
o Outstanding oral and written communication skills
