Senior Cognos Architect/Developer

We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking a Senior Cognos Architect/Developer on a Full time direct employee basis. In this role, the Cognos Architect/Developer will:
Work with the business and project team members to gather requirements and design and document Cognos objects, model, packages, reports, dashboards and event processes.
Responsible for working with developers to assure design and implementation conforms to internal standards & best practices.
Work with Data Architect / Modeler to insure data models satisfy the needs of the Cognos reporting system.
Create the Framework Manager models and design packages and reporting objects.
Provide site coordination & ongoing mentoring to the development team.
Assist developers with troubleshooting activities and assist with testing.
Support infrastructure teams with code migrations & deployment.
Work closely with senior management and vendors.
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Business Intelligence Development and Architecture.
IBM Cognos 10.
Cognos Framework Manager and Report Writer expertise.
Strong data modeling.
Ability to interface effectively with the business and gather requirements.
ETL Development desirable.
Cognos Certification highly preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
