Description:
The mission of HandyCapable Network is to enrich the lives of people with special needs by teaching them technology skills in an inclusive environment. Through our efforts, HandyCapable Network provides greater access to technology to economically challenged people and nonprofits.
The Executive Director is ultimately responsibile for the success of HandyCapable Network operations, public relations and new program planning and development with the goal of furthering the mission.

Duties:
Development and Public Relations
Act as key spokesperson for the organization.
Build partnerships with corporate, government and non-profit organizations for the benefit of HCN.
Oversee marketing and public relations efforts.
Develop partnerships to provide computers to the community.
Seek diverse sources of funding, with assistance from staff and Board. Take the lead in fund raising plans for the organization.
Program Development & Management
Identify and research opportunities for new programs, funding, grants etc.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Operations/Management
Work with the team onschedules and needs of HCN clients and work activities of the technical staff and volunteers to meet the needs and timelines of HCN clients.
Conduct annual performance reviews/ evaluations of the staff.
Finance
Work with Treasurer and the Finance Committee to establish yearly budget.
Manage and monitor expenditures, donations etc. to keep within budget.
Manage and report finances of HCN operations.
Approve recommendations forpricing ofproducts and services to ensure cost effectiveness for HCN and the community.
Administrative
Responsible for the process of hiring, training, supervising and evaluating employees and volunteers of HCN.
Prepare reports, agendas, updates etc. for board and provides staff to support board requests.
Responsible for procuring office space and related services.
Qualifications:
Some professional, operational and management experience in a program dealing with individuals diagnosed with disabilities.
Proven ability to creatively seek and work with multiple funding sources, to establish and work within tight budget guidelines.
Excellent leadership, communication, writing skills, team building, organizational and computer skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
