Counsel Enterprise Litigation
Duties: Develops and implements strategic prosecution and defense of lawsuits filed by and against the company. Provides support, as necessary throughout LFG on litigation-related matters. Participates in LFG committees and special projects. Negotiates settlements and drafts or approves appropriate documentation. Advises and reports to key constituencies, including business clients, about litigation progress, strategy, and, where appropriate, settlement negotiations. Serves as resource to internal staff with regard to subpoenas, tax levies, and garnishments. Works with team to create and streamline processes and procedures as appropriate. Oversees collection matters filed on behalf of the company. Attends key depositions, witness preparation sessions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Adheres to LFG policies and procedures regarding active management of litigation and relationships with outside counsel. Retains and oversees outside counsel, in all assigned cases, by managing and supporting discovery and document preservation, and preparing potential company witnesses. Manages case budgets, and work to ensure that outside counsel provides and adheres to appropriate budgets.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
