The program introduces law students to various aspects of the practice. Summer associates typically select assignments from an online database, which allows them the flexibility to focus on specialized areas of the law while at the same time affording them the opportunity to explore the myriad of the firm's practice areas. Summer associates are invited and encouraged to attend depositions, court appearances, trial strategy sessions, transaction closings, negotiations, and other meetings associated with the firm's practice. First- and second-year law students are considered. The program typically lasts 10 weeks, beginning in late May and ending in early August.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
