12 Months Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension.

Job Type:
Contract (40 hours weekly) , On-Site

Pay Range:
$30/hr - $32/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Indigo Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating HP Indigo digital presses and possess a strong understanding of print production processes. This position requires flexibility to work multiple shifts, and, multiple customer locations, as needed to meet production demands. The Indigo Press Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our printing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate HP Indigo digital presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Set up and calibrate printing equipment, including loading paper, adjusting ink levels, and performing maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor print jobs throughout the production process to maintain quality standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure color accuracy, print registration, and overall print quality meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including prepress technicians and finishing operators, to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of jobs.
  • Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job logs, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity in the printing process.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior operators as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating HP Indigo digital presses or similar digital printing equipment. Indigo L1 and L2 Certifications are recommended.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
  • Ability to Travel when necessary to customer locations. May require weeklong visits to customer locations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with printing industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency with computer software for job setup and digital file management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in printing technology is a plus.
