Warehouse Team Member Main Purpose:
The Warehouse Team member performs a cross section of duties across the warehouse.
This may include:
receiving, unpacking, storing and replenishing of shop materials.
As well as operating the machines to produce quality product as specified by work orders and blueprints.
The warehouse team member may also be called upon to assemble and fabricate made-to-order-doors, windows and other shop product.
Core Accountabilities May Include:
Put away or stock inbound materials.
Perform regular and routine maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
General warehouse tasks, including forklift operation Sweep and clean facilities to maintain in clean and safe condition.
Observe all shops and OSHA safety rules and practices.
Dispose of and/or recycle any waste in line with company and state environmental policy Set-up, calibrate, maintain, and repair machinery and machine tools as needed.
Align and place tools, cutters, guides, and stops correctly in the machine.
Ensure machine parts are made to correct specifications by reading design manuals, blueprints, sketches, etc.
Operate manual machinery and oversee automated machines.
Set up, adjust, operate, and tend the specialized woodworking machines in addition to standard shop machines such as ripsaw, chop saws, planers, sanders, trim saws, coping and end work machines, drilling and boring machines, etc.
Determine materials, work methods and set up equipment to cut and shape the wood parts to specifications, and verify dimensions using drawing prints, templates, and rulers.
Identify and correct basic quality defects.
Quality of work and producing error-free work is essential.
Place and secure mobile fixtures and materials onto machine.
Oversee machines, belts, any moving pieces, etc.
during the production process and adjust speed and/or movements as needed.
Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of the machine.
Finish pieces by grinding, smoothing or shaping as necessary.
Present finished pieces to management for review.
Operator will ensure that the work order is processed as detailed and maintain accurate and legible documentation of materials and methods used.
Assemble shop product, including cutting, screwing, stapling, nailing, gluing, caulking, and assembling of wood, metal and glass materials into units as designed, including Checking product and raw materials for specifications (i.
e.
, sizing and angles), Set up machinery and equipment to meet the required specifications Identify and correct basic quality defects.
Quality of work and producing error-free work is essential.
Prepare and package product for delivery.
Operator will ensure that the work order is processed as detailed and maintain accurate and legible documentation of materials and methods used.
Ability to take instruction, both written and oral.
Other shop tasks as assigned.
Key Outputs/Results:
The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for ensuring that project completion is in line with the design specifics on the blueprints and the delivery dates on the work order.
The Team Member should always strive to have the highest quality execution of creating the product.
Key Relationships:
The Warehouse Team Member is part of a larger warehouse team.
It is imperative that all Team Members work together to produce the highest quality product for our customers.
The Team Member will, at times, need to engage the sales team to ensure that product meets the expectations of the customer.
Team Member will report to the Operations manager Essential Knowledge:
High school diploma or GED equivalent or two years shop experience.
Technical Skills:
1 to 3 experience preferred but will train Basic Math skills Blueprint reading experience preferred Forklift experience preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
