Your responsibilities as a building efficiency technician:
Perform code compliance duct and whole house air leakage testing on new and existing construction (residential and commercial) Inspect Energy Star homes and prepare energy models/HERS Ratings Inspect Multi-family buildings to verify green building practices, prepare reports for clients and provide guidance to contractors about issues identified Training and assistance to certification available.

Promptly communicate any scheduling issues or on-the-job concerns with the office Maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure cleanliness and properly working order Need to be able to lift 50 lbs.
and climb step ladders safely Travel may include 3
hours in a vehicle in a day.
Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Preferred but not required Building Science or construction trades:
0-1 year Strong understanding of building science dynamics and experience working with building science HVAC experience Remediation experience Our Energy Performance Technicians are the face of ESG, engaging customers on their own in the field.
You will be providing excellent service and expertise to builders and homeowners by evaluating and verifying energy usage in new construction and existing homes and multi-family buildings.
ESG's cross-training helps employees also learn about indoor air quality testing and water intrusion consulting, to better understand the dynamics of buildings and the effects of buildings on the occupants.
ESG is a trusted source for both indoor air quality and energy related consulting in Virginia, North and South Carolina.
