Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will offer technical and systems guidance on complex assignments and projects for Lincoln s Life Solutions New Business Technology area. You will act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders. You will also consult and collaborate with business stakeholders to define and validate information technology solutions that meet the needs, goals and objectives for Lincoln s Life Solutions New Business Technology.

Responsibilities
Consults and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to determine technical specifications from business requirements.
Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents and validates more complex technical requirements
Consults and acts as a resource to appropriate internal/external stakeholders to assess and deliver proposed more complex technical solutions which meet business requirements which may integrate process, business rules and business data with technology
Determines and recommends the most appropriate technical response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization
Provides complex technical research and analysis to support business operations needs and presents findings to management
Provide production support for our internal and external customers
Escalates more complex issues/conflicts to management as needed
Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with junior team members
Provides a more complex understanding the business usage of information technology (IT) and helping technology add value to the business
Develops more complex test plans and perform testing for quarterly releases as needed
Updates LifeWriter and ALIP tables as needed
Develop and update our life products as it pertains to changes in ALIP
Update forms mapping in ALIP

Education

4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

Certifications

Experience

3 - 5
Years of experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position Life Insurance Experience preferred

Years of experience reviewing and analyzing multiple complex data sources and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies

Years of experience developing and maintaining data models and associated metadata to be forward engineered on the respective database platform
Strong attention to detail required
Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple assignments in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
