Program Support Specialist

As a Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301-11 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Works closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s). Analyzes the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures. Provides advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues. Provides oversight of the property management program. Assures contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place. GS-11 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-9 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0301-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following
Qualifications:
A. Have at least one year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-9 in the Federal Service performing duties which include:
1) providing office administrative services in order to investigate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; and 3) compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy. OR B. Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 (three) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related in such fields as Finance or Business Administration, or any other similar degree for which such education demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. One year of full-time graduate education is generally equivalent to 18 semester hours (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS). OR C. Have the combination of education and experience as listed above (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
