This position is accountable to maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness within all assigned areas of the hospital (offices, patient rooms, treatment areas, lobbies, public rest rooms, lounges, etc.
) This position will also meet and/or exceed internal and external customer expectations while adhering to the organizational environmental and infection prevention standards and standards established by external regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
Completes necessary documentation.
Necessary paperwork is always completed accurately and up to date.
Records cleaning of patient care and medicine refrigerators on appropriate form if required.
Reports any areas needing attention immediately and beyond their control.
- Monitors and anticipates departmental supplies meeting the budget while ensuring appropriate resources are available.
- Operates and maintains tools and equipment including cart.
Always maintains all equipment and storage areas in a neat and clean manner.
Ensures equipment is in proper working order.
Recognizes potential problems and reports appropriately.
- Performs cleaning per departmental standards (routine and/or weekly, discharge, medication rooms, IV storage rooms, refrigerators, etc.
) to meet customer needs.
Does not touch/handle medications and is escorted in areas where narcotics are available.
Prioritizes needs and adjusts appropriately.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred
Experience:
Six (6) months to one (1) year previous customer service experience in a healthcare services department.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
