Freight 1 Logistics is a non-asset-based 3rd party logistics firm based in Greensboro, NC.
We are looking for a competitive and trustworthy Logistics Broker to help us build and grow our business! As a Logistics Broker, you are responsible for collaborating with carrier partners and shippers alike, overseeing the full life cycle of every shipment.
This is done while always keeping our customers' best interest in mind.
Experience within the industry is a plus, but not a must.
If you are the right fit for the job, we can train you for the position! What does the position require? Negotiate competitive rates with partner carriers to increase revenue and maximize profitability Acquire and on-board new partner carriers through various networking channels Provides day-to-day customer service and logistics support Contracting and building relationships with carriers Tracks and reports the status of shipments Answers customer inquiries quickly, politely, and professionally with a sense of urgency via phone and email Gathers, distributes and documents information on shipping activity to keep the entire team up to date Provides proactive and timely communication of issues found Evaluates all transportation decisions to ensure the customer is getting the best quality service by providing updates and information prior to them requesting it Understands the customers' needs and seek to become their best source for support with transportation needs Other duties as directed What is Freight 1 looking for? Ambitious, outgoing and success driven mindset Strong email, phone, and face-to-face communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Associates Degree Required, Bachelor Degree Preferred Operational experience within the 3PL/Logistics field (preferred not required) Job Type:
