Directly supervise the Front Desk Staff and operations Greet guests, function as desk clerk when needed, train desk clerks and auditors, Handle guest complaints, establish and maintain reservations.
Monitor Desk Clerk performance and prepare disciplinary actions as needed Conduct staff meetings Serve as desk clerk during breaks in shift schedules Serve as back up during call-ins Assist General Manager and Sales Manager with sales Handle all group bookings Compute timecards daily, reconcile housekeeping reports, and complete Daily Payroll Report Compute bi-weekly time and complete Payroll Report for manager's review before submitting to Payroll Complete Daily Control Reports, review audit, count money, and make deposits in General Manager's absence Run Direct Bill statements and mail on a weekly basis.
Enter payments as received Interview and recommend candidates for hire Assist other departments when needed Inspect 50% of guest rooms monthly for General Manager's inspection Monitor safety measures and meetings Represent property at community functions Maintain room inventories Assist General Manager in all property operations and act for General Manager in his/her absence Complete Daly Seven, Inc.
and/or Franchise Company training as required Stay abreast of Daly Seven, Inc.
and Franchise programs and requirements Perform any other duties as assigned by General Manager POSITION REQUIREMENTS Minimum of a 2-year college degree from an accredited university preferred OR solid hospitality work experience Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage hourly staff Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent customer service skills High Energy Professional image, communicated through demeanor, dress and communication Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays and nights depending on staffing needs Proven work experience as a Front Desk Manager IHG experience a huge plus Ability to work any day of the week Hands-on experience with office machines (e.
g.
