We are currently seeking an industrial maintenance technician.
This individual will troubleshoot, install, maintain and repair production equipment and perform general facility maintenance.
This is a first shift position with a Monday - Friday schedule, occasionally requiring overtime and Saturday projects.
Skills/Competencies:
Maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping and building systems.
Observe and troubleshoot equipment, isolate mechanical problem(s), make adjustments or disassemble, repair and reassemble machinery.
Able to read and understand service manuals, instructions, drawings and diagrams.
Able to identify sizes and condition of sprockets, chains, idlers, tensioners, bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, clutches, brakes and gearboxes.
Repair/replace as needed to maintain equipment in good operational state.
Basic electrical troubleshooting of switches, fuses, relays, contactors, motor starters/overloads and presence of voltage using a multimeter to check volts or ohms.
Ability to properly size and replace relays, fuses and motor overloads.
Electrical and mechanical removal/installation of motors, check/changing rotation, alignment of couplings and testing motor operation.
Ability to read electrical schematics; PLC ladder logic a plus.
Ability to perform simple machining using drills, saws, grinders, etc.
Able to use a variety of hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment.
Ability to use torch for heating and cutting; MIG welding.
Maintain hard copy and virtual maintenance records and documents as required.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Able to work independently.
Education/Experience/Certifications:
Associate's Degree in Industrial Machine Maintenance, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Process Automation or other similar program or equivalent.
1-3 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing equipment or machinery.
