The Computer Technician position performs routine maintenance, diagnostic, and repair of a variety of computer and computer-adjacent equipment and systems for resale or for customer repair.
This position process computers and accessories determining what is to be sold or salvaged, prepares merchandise for shipment to retail locations.
This position will operate primarily out of Goodwill s home office located at 1235 S.
Eugene St, Greensboro, North Carolina.
Essential Functions:
Working with People Provides exemplary customer service to all customers.
Answers questions and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Assists customers with the selection and production information regularly.
Assist customers with technical questions or concerns and repair of computer equipment.
Greets customers and follows established requirements on a consistent basis.
Works as a supportive team member to meet daily requirements.
General Performance Works with a sense of purpose and understands the urgency to meet production requirements.
Keeps merchandise in order in accordance with established guidelines.
Process computers and accessories determining what is to be sold or salvaged.
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic, and repair of equipment and systems for resale or for customer repair.
Replace defective components, wiring as determined by program outline for product resale.
Load operating systems/ software packages/ drivers onto computers as program outline requires.
Maintain accurate inventory system.
Maintain accurate log of all licenses.
Prepare merchandise for shipment to retail locations.
Price computer equipment and accessories to achieve maximum sales potential in accordance with established guidelines.
General Business Requirements Performs general janitorial duties and other tasks as may be assigned.
Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to a member of management.
Performs other job/department related tasks as assigned.
May cross train for other jobs.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED with additional certification in Information Technology or related field.
A
certification preferred.
Two years of experience in a computer repair related field Must possess good working knowledge of PC repair and diagnosis.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and work without close supervision.
Must have a pleasant personality and be able to provide courteous customer service.
Pay:
$14.
00 per hr.
Hours:
Position is hourly, averaging 40 hrs.
/week.
Work is generally conducted during business hours, 8:
30 am - 5:
30 pm, some nights, and some weekends.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
