Role purpose
- To provide analytical data and methodology in support of AI, formulation, packaging development and registration, Production & Supply operations and Sales & Marketing efforts. The candidate may have responsibility for method development and validation, GLP test and reference material characterization, conduct of GLP product chemistry studies, manufacturing and Pilot Plant support.
Accountabilities:
- Support AI, Formulation and Packaging Development by providing timely support and innovative analytical solutions.
- Conduct product chemistry and test material characterization studies that fully meet world-wide regulatory requirements to facilitate registration.
- Support the Supply Chain by providing reliable and efficient analytical methods and effective problem solving.
- Characterize analytical reference & control sample materials to meet development and production schedule requirements.
- Support our registrations by providing priority analysis, methodology and expertise to EPA & states investigating complaints, Stop Sales and spills.
Knowledge, Skills &
Experience:
Critical knowledge:
- PhD required. Knowledge of the chemistry and analytical technologies required for the development of new active ingredients, and formulated products including inert/excipient components. 2-5 years' experience desired.

Experience:
- Strong background in analytical chemistry with hands-on instrumental experience. Smart application of new or re-purposed technologies to solve analytical challenges.
- Knowledge of analytical technologies associated with the characterization of inert ingredients (excipients) associated with pesticide products.
- Knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques in both traditional and investigative modes.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:
- Leadership, technical, problem solving, attention to detail, a high proficiency in multi-tasking & project planning, flexibility to change, able to work in cross-functional/departmental setting, teamwork, customer focus, oral and written communication. Effective communications in a culturally diverse setting including scientist and non-scientist audiences is a must.

- Deliver analytical data, interpretation and problem solving for key product development projects to keep them on schedule.
- Develop strong team / interpersonal relationships with customers and colleagues
- Challenge - to become familiar with numerous complex systems, processes and ways of working necessary to succeed.
Additional Information:
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
- Travel Requirements - approximately 10%
- Mobility / willingness to relocate is desirable
- Post doctoral work experience would be a plus
